In addition, each team member is constantly updating their skills and knowledge through further study. This ensures that you receive the best possible care.

Jennifer Morecroft
Practice Principal – B.D.S ( U.BRIST ) MFGDP

I qualified as a dental surgeon from Bristol University in 2007 and have worked in hospital and general dental practice. I have a special interest in minor oral surgery and was involved in foundation training for newly-qualified dentists.

I became the practice principal at Wedmore Dental Practice in 2019.

I have a young son and daughter so most of my spare time is spent at the playground or running alongside their bikes.  I also enjoy indoor climbing, cycling and cooking.

Alison Chapman

I have been a dentist for over 20 years and have always aimed to increase my skills. I worked in hospital positions in children’s dentistry, special needs, oral surgery and oral medicine before entering general practice. I recently gained a postgraduate certificate in endodontics (root canal treatment) at distinction level.

I have a calm and patient manner and hope to help even my most nervous patients feel at ease. I have 2 teenage daughters and enjoy all outdoor adventures.

I joined the practice in June of 2024..

I qualified in 2015 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Sheffield University then continued my education,  achieving a Diploma of the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, in 2019.

Since qualification, I have enjoyed a number of roles, including associate positions, Dental Officer in Special Care Dentistry, Specialty Dentist at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital, and I continues to work as a locum dentist for the MOD.

Hannah York

I qualified from Birmingham in 2009 and went on to work in London, where I gained considerable experience in general dentistry before moving to the South West in 2014. Continuing my professional development, I am currently studying for a diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.  I am in the process of completing sedation training, which will allow me to offer IV Sedation to patients in practice. In addition to dentistry I am also qualified in Facial Aesthetics.

I am friendly and approachable, putting even the most nervous patients at ease.

Outside of work I have a young family and lively springer spaniel to keep me busy!

Sally Cantwell

My career started as a dental nurse in 1978, then working in the children’s department at Eastman Dental Hospital until I moved to Bristol.

I qualified as a dental hygienist in 1981 and have worked in many environments Including; dental hospitals, private practice and NHS practices.  I currently work in two practices in Somerset.  I have undertaken courses to extend my knowledge in other areas, qualifying as a Massage Therapist in 2004.

My dentistry career began in 2012 as an apprentice dental nurse. After qualifying, I worked in a busy Nottingham practice where I gained further certification in dental radiography. I later moved to Bristol, gaining valuable experience across multiple practices and all fields of dentistry.

On returning to my hometown, I completed an Oral Health Education qualification alongside an access course, which led me to study Dental Therapy at UHI Inverness. While in Scotland, I also worked in a specialist orthodontic practice to maintain and further develop my clinical skills.

Now based in the South West, I work across two roles as a dental hygienist and therapist. I particularly enjoy supporting nervous patients and working with children, and I hope to continue developing my skills in restorative dentistry in the future.

Katie Berry
Business Development Manager

With over 16 years of experience in a variety of NHS management roles within General Practice, I was delighted to join Wedmore Dental Practice initially as Interim Practice Manager to cover maternity leave. Following this, I transitioned into my current role as Business Development Manager, where I continue to support the team and help drive the growth and evolution of the practice.

I’m really enjoying working closely with Jen and the team to enhance the services we offer to our local community. I bring a creative approach to my work and am especially excited to contribute to the marketing and development of the practice.

Outside of work, I have a young family who keep me busy, and I enjoy unwinding through painting, drawing, and water skiing.

Charlotte Stockwell

My career in dentistry began in 2014 when I started working as a dental nurse. Over the years, I worked my way into practice management, a role I’m truly passionate about.

Having worked as a dental nurse, I have strong clinical knowledge that supports the day-to-day management of the practice and helps ensure everything runs smoothly for both patients and the dental team.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my children and creating lasting memories with my family.

I joined the Practice in 2022 after qualifying as a dental nurse.  I really enjoy working here because of the great team, along with the friendly patients I get to meet.

Having 2 teenage daughters and a pet pug keeps me busy, but I enjoy spending time with my family and friends outside of work including a variety of hobbies especially spa days and watching films, with a cheeky bit of chocolate!

Moving from my home county of Cornwall in 2017 to live with my partner in North Somerset, I qualified as a dental nurse in 2021 and started here in mid 2022 after  working at an NHS practice.  I enjoy working here because of the tight nit team we have, which has given me a sense of community whilst living away from my own.

I enjoy being creative in my spare time and whilst being at work, utilizing my skills to assist with the social media for the practice along with decorating at Christmas! Photography and anything creative is my passion in life.

I started work as a dental nurse when I was 19 years old.  After having a break to raise my family I returned to dental nursing in 1996.  I then went on to achieve  a post qualification course to become a qualified oral health educator.

Trainee Dental Nurse

After spending most of my career in the manufacturing industry, I’ve made a significant career change and am now pursuing a new path as a Trainee Dental Nurse. It has been refreshing to work alongside such a friendly team who have made me feel welcomed and supported. I’m excited to continue progressing towards my Dental Nurse Qualification and to develop the skills required for this role.

Working part-time at the practice has also given me more time to enjoy with my family and two dogs. In my free time, I love playing netball, paddle boarding, and going on family adventures!

Katharine Dutton
Lead Dental Receptionist

I started at Wedmore Dental Practice in 2021 following some time off on maternity leave. I have a background in customer service and I love meeting new people.

I work three days a week at the practice and spend the rest of the week chasing around after my two small children! I have always loved to travel; I still really enjoy my holidays but nowadays spend my time a little closer to home.
