I qualified as a dental surgeon from Bristol University in 2007 and have worked in hospital and general dental practice. I have a special interest in minor oral surgery and was involved in foundation training for newly-qualified dentists.
I became the practice principal at Wedmore Dental Practice in 2018.
I have a young daughter so most of my spare time is spent at the playground or jumping in puddles. I also enjoy cycling, swimming and playing my violin.’

I qualified as a dental surgeon at Bristol Dental Hospital in 1981 and since qualifying, have worked in a variety of dental practices in Somerset. I gained a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from Bristol in 1996. I have also trained in the use of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal fillers.
I have been Practice Principal at Wedmore Dental Practice since 1995.
I am also qualified as a Dinghy and Powerboat instructor, and help to manage a sailing association (SYCSA) based at Durleigh Reservoir, Bridgwater.

My career started as a dental nurse in 1978, then working in the children’s department at Eastman Dental Hospital until I moved to Bristol. I qualified as a dental hygienist in 1981and have worked in many environments; dental hospitals, private practice and in NHS practices. I currently work in three practices around the Bristol area.
I have recently undertaken courses to extend my knowledge in other areas, qualifying as a Massage Therapist in 2004.

I qualified at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1988. After having a family and moving to Somerset in 1992, I continued to work part-time in private practice.
My interests include being a qualified dance and aerobics instructor, and in 1998 I was very proud to be a British Aerobicsport Champion.
I joined the practice only recently in October 2020, having worked for 15 years in varying roles in both commissioner and provider organisations of the NHS. I am extremely passionate about working in a healthcare environment and have seen first-hand the dedication and commitment staff have to their patients and to improving patient&rsquol;s health, wellbeing and the care they receive. I feel privileged to have an opportunity to work in this new role where I hope I can make a real difference in improving the services and experiences for our patients. My job role at Wedmore Dental Practice is to support, develop and manage the team, supporting them to provide outstanding patient care. I also oversee the strategic and financial management of the business, as well as ensuring that a safe environment is maintained for all patients, staff and visitors. I am responsible for making sure that a legal, ethical and organisational guideline are adhered to by the team and that the practice complies with industry and government guidelines.
Life outside of work is equally busy as I have two young children and I love spending time with my family. I live in Wedmore and enjoy getting involved in everything this fabulous community has to offer! If I get an infrequent moment to myself I enjoy it.

After having worked as a dental nurse since 1982 I took my national certificate and qualified in May 1996. I have since done further training and gained my Oral Health Educators certificate in 2003. I have worked in both NHS and private practices and gained invaluable experience over the years. In my spare time I have completed a Beauty Therapy and basic teaching qualification. My interests are Pilates, Walking, Animals, Reading and Cooking.

Since returning to work 7 years ago, I have nursed at Bristol Dental Hospital with the dental students, and I am also currently part of the ‘Special Care Dental Team’ based at Weston Hospital in addition to working at Wedmore Dental Practice since June 2008.

I qualified as a dental nurse in March 2007 with a Merit. My dental nursing training was completed in a mixed NHS/Private practice, I worked within this practice for 7 years and during that time completed post qualifications in Dental Radiography and Fluoride Varnish Application. I joined Wedmore Dental Practice in April 2013.
Outside work I enjoy reading, in particular crime and thriller novels. I also enjoy swimming and walking.
I recently joined the team at Wedmore Dental Practice following some time off on maternity leave. I have a background in customer service and I love meeting new people.
I work three days a week at the practice and spend the rest of the week chasing around after my two small children! I have always loved to travel; I still really enjoy my holidays but nowadays spend my time a little closer to home.
I joined Wedmore Dental Practice to assist the front of house reception, always welcoming you for a chat and a smile.
I work at the practice 3 days per week on the other days I enjoy using my beauty therapy skills from my salon at home.
I am a very creative person enjoying crafts and upcycling projects including recently renovating my new home.
